As the demand for healthcare professionals continues to rise, the importance of early exposure becomes more evident. Explore the vital role of Nurse Educators in the high school classroom and the positive impact on students’ career aspirations and academic success. During this week high school educators will have the opportunity to engage with NC DPI Health Science consultant team and other NC DPI staff to learn about: credentials, inherently honors courses, using curriculum guides, apprenticeships, internships, creating honors portfolios and so much more. Our Nurse Educators will also have an opportunity to earn continuing education units through the partnership with NC DPI and NC AHEC.
