Badge three of this 4-badge series will provide opportunities for teachers to utilize instructional resources to create meaningful lessons at NCCAT Cullowhee on Dec. 5-6. Teachers will learn in Badge three how to create learning targets, performance tasks and success criteria for learning sequences and utilize assessments to determine next steps for instruction. Badge four will provide teachers with ways to motivate and engage students in the learning process. Beginning teachers will learn a variety of active learning strategies, including technology tools and brain-based instructional approaches. Throughout the badge series, teachers will build their professional toolbox by learning from the experiences of their peers, as well as build a collaborative network of beginning teachers from across the state.
